Practical answers for solid wood manufacturers

These answers cover sample preparation, file input, nesting control, reports, cutter selection and the limits of published case results.

Which JXH machine should I choose?

Choose the JXH AI Cutting Machine for thick, irregular natural boards and one-station production. Choose the JXH One-Dual-Two AI Cutting Machine when two independent cutting stations are needed for higher throughput. Choose the JXH AI Thin Board CNC Router for thin solid wood boards or glued panels. Choose the JXH AI Laser Marking Machine when you want AI scanning and nesting while retaining an existing downstream cutting process.

Can JXH process irregular solid wood boards with defects?

Yes. The vision system identifies the board boundary, surface defects and usable cutting area before nesting. Final suitability should be confirmed with sample boards because species, surface condition, thickness and defect appearance affect recognition and cutting settings.

Which part file formats can be imported?

Part drawings can be imported in DXF or DWG format and saved in the local part database. Rectangular parts can also be entered from an Excel table. Hundreds of part types can be stored, with an individual quantity and priority assigned to each type.

How does automatic nesting decide where parts should be placed?

The software evaluates board dimensions, boundary, defect locations, part type, size, priority and required quantity. It can optimize for maximum usable area, production priority or part value, rotate parts automatically and optimize the machining path.

Can the automatic nesting result be adjusted manually?

Yes. Operators can delete, add, move and rotate parts after automatic nesting, then confirm the layout before production.

What information is included in the production report?

Reports can include board size, wood species, thickness, part count, utilization, cutting path and other task data. Reports can be exported as PDF files or printed for shift and production review.

How is the cutting tool selected?

For the AI Cutting Machine and One-Dual-Two model, available double-ended single-flute cutters include 5 × 80 × 150 mm, 6 × 80 × 150 mm and 8 × 100 × 165 mm. Selection depends on board thickness, density and required cutting speed; JXH sales engineers evaluate the application before recommending a tool.

What should I send JXH before requesting a machine proposal?

Send representative board photos, board dimensions and thickness, wood species, part drawings, required quantities, target daily output and a description or video of the current process. A sample test is recommended for unusual materials or defects.

Are published utilization and output figures guaranteed?

No. Published figures are measured case examples. Actual results vary with board dimensions, board quality, defect distribution, part mix, material thickness and density, cutter selection, cutting speed and shift organization.
